Schwarzman scholarship is awarded every year. This year, it seeks to select 200 new classes of applicants who possess leadership traits, exemplary character and integrity, academic prowess and intellectual competence, open-mindedness and are filled with an entrepreneurial spirit and passion.
The host university fully funds this scholarship, which allows you to study certain master’s degree courses for a maximum of one year.
Candidates will be selected based on the ratio apportioned for each country applying for the scholarship. Forty per cent of the candidates will come from the United States, 20 per cent from China, and the remaining 40 per cent from the rest of the world.

Eligibility Requirements for Schwarzman Scholarship
In Order for you to win the Schwarzman scholarship and become a scholar, you must meet all of the following criteria.
- Citizenship: The scholarship is open to citizens of any country, including those from the host country.
- Degree: You must have obtained your first degree from a recognized university in your host country. If you are still in your undergraduate program but want to apply, you must ensure to have completed your undergraduate program and obtain all necessary documents before August 1st 2025.
- Age: As of August 1st, 2025, you must be at least 18 and at most 29 years old to apply.
- English Proficiency: Since English is the primary language of instruction, you must be able to communicate in English effectively.
- Language test: If your native language is not English or you studied in a non-English-speaking country, you are to undergo and submit an English proficiency test score. The accepted test results are the inter-based test of English as a foreign language (TOEFL) with a minimum score of 100, the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) with a minimum score of 7, and the Cambridge English Advanced or proficiency test (C1) or (C2) with a minimum score of 185.

How to Apply for the Schwarzman Scholarship
If you have successfully met the eligible requirements, the next step is to proceed to the application phase and register. To do this, follow the instructions outlined below carefully.
- Visit the Application Portal: Visit the scholarship application portal and create an account by filling out some of your details alongside your email address and password.
- Verify account: You are to verify your created account using the verification link and the temporary pin that was sent to your email address. After verification, create a new password and log in.
- Start New application: You are to begin by clicking on start a new application and proceed to open a new application.
- Fill out the online form: This is the most crucial part of the application process. You must complete the various sections of the form correctly, starting with your personal information and ending with your signature.
- Select course of study: Select your desired course of study for the program.
- Upload Documents: Upload all the documents listed above correctly in Order of specificity and in PDF format.
- Review and Submit Application Form: Review your application thoroughly to avoid any errors and submit it.
Final Thought
The Schwarzman scholarship study program begins in August 2025, and the scholarship committee has opened its application portal already so as to enable a lot of applicants to apply and stand a chance of being accepted faster.
Application forms should only be filled and submitted in the English language, including the documents being uploaded; if you are from a non English speaking country, make sure to have them translated.
For US and Global citizens, the application deadline is slated for September 12th, 2024, at exactly 3:00 pm EDT. After the application phase, the selection phase will commence in October and November 2024.
For Chinese citizens, the application deadline is May 20th, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. CST. Immediately after that, a selection process will commence ( between June and July 2024).
When selected, you will be notified of an interview via your email address; successfully passing this interview ushers you to the final stage of the selection process.
Interviews are conducted in three locations around the world and they will be made known to you. If the date and places of the interview have been revealed to you, you are to plan, prepare your visa and visit the location most convenient for you.
A video interview will be conducted for a few persons who failed to secure a visa to attend the interview.
