The Bridge Scholarship 2024 is now open for all eligible and qualified Nigerian candidates waiting for the application phase.

This scholarship program aims to provide indigenous and African students with an opportunity and access to good, affordable and quality education irrespective of their socioeconomic backgrounds and limitations.

The Bridge Scholarship program is awarded to students in their undergraduate program at any accredited public university in Nigeria. 

The scholarship excludes those admitted to a private university, part-time program, long-distance program/ online learning or sandwich program.

It is a fully funded scholarship program with many benefits. If you are awarded the scholarship, you will receive financial support to cover your academic needs and expenses throughout your study period at the university.

The scholarship provides financial aid and ensures you receive mentorship and career guidance, which will help you transition to your career after graduation. 

No age limitation is associated with the scholarship; the most important thing is that you successfully meet all eligibility requirements.

Eligibility Requirements of The Bridge Scholarship 

To be eligible for this scholarship, then you must meet the following requirements 

  1. Nationality: The scholarship is open to citizens from Nigeria.
  2. Admission: You will be admitted to study an undergraduate course in any accredited public university within the country 
  3. Community Participation: You must be someone who is actively involved in community development services and activities 
  4. Academic Grade: You  must have an excellent academic record of a minimum of 3.0/4.0 or 3.5/4.0
  5. Personality: You must be someone with integrity and perseverance in overcoming challenges.

How to Apply for The Bridge Scholarship 

To apply for the 2024 Bridge Scholarship, make sure to follow these guidelines carefully 

  1. Download Scholarship Application Form: Download the doc application form to get started.
  2. Fill out Personal Information: Fill out the application form form starting with your personal information 
  3. Fill out Academic Information: Fill out your academic details starting from your study institution, course of study, Level of Study and CGPA
  4. Upload Documents: merge all the required documents in one pdf file and upload.
  5. Submit: Review your application, make necessary corrections and submit.

Final Thought

The Bridge Scholarship was founded by Dr Ogonna Nwajiobi and other members of the board of trustees to raise and empower men and women from economically challenged backgrounds to better the lives of their families, communities and nations.

The foundation organizes the bridge scholarship annually to reach its goal; since its inception, many students have benefited from its scholarship program. In 2023, up to 29 scholars were awarded this scholarship opportunity.

The application date and deadline for the 2024 Bright Scholarship are  August 1, 2024, to September 13, 2024. Therefore, you are advised to apply early to avoid missing out on this great opportunity.

Ensure you complete the application form before the deadline, as an incomplete application will not be considered. 

At the end of the application phase, you and other selected applicants will be contacted via email for an interview/ screening exercise. Members of the board of trustees will conduct the screening exercise.

The final results will be announced immediately after the interview/ screening exercise. If you are selected, the scholarship benefits will cover everything you need throughout your study program.
